That’s gotta be one of the best, most thoughtful, mature interviews I’ve ever seen. It’s always a little interesting to see how the next leader performs. Sometimes it’s fabulous, but not always.

Between the humbling start to last year and then watching Ochai, Remy, David, Mitch, … come together to lead has me excited about this team.

Love that he cited specifically how hard the last 5 games were, and how important it was to listen to Coach, starting in practice. We’ll go from being crazy old (7 seniors or older including 6th & 7th year players?) to really young, but the majority of the young at least have the best experience possible; watching those experienced guys listen to Coach and fight through to 6+ Ws to end the season. As nice as the exhilaration was, remembering the work, grind, discipline, effort will have the most dividends this year.
