It's been a wild few days for Kansas football walk-on Jared Casey.

From unexpectedly and improbably making the game-winning catch on a 2-point conversion to beat Texas, to watching a video of the moment posted to social media by his brother go viral all the way to NIL deals with Applebee's, car dealerships and others, Casey has quickly gone from anonymous to the limelight.

On Wednesday, at KU football's regularly scheduled player availability at the program's indoor facility, Casey talked with reporters about the aftermath and excitement of all of it.

In the video below, Casey breaks down:

• The catch

• The play

• The aftermath

• The NIL opportunities

• And much, much more...

After all of the national coverage I would think KU’s own news source could attribute the video appropriately to Jared’s mother, Karen Casey.

Yep. Taken by his mom, tweeted out by his brother. No malice intended.

Good kid. Hope he keeps hanging tough. Would like to see him get some more touches...especially as a fullback.

Anyone know what deals are cooking for Neal and JD?

Neal signed a deal with Johnny's Tavern earlier this season and Jalon Daniels received $1,000 from Gorilla Glue to be on the Rich Eisen Show this week... It's all happening.

The irony of a report of a player signing a NIL deal with a business that promotes drinking and Jalen Wilson getting a DUI for drinking
