For the first time since 2012, the Kansas basketball team is back in the Final Four. Headed to San Antonio, a familiar destination for some former Jayhawks, a long list of current and old players took to social media to react to the wild Elite Eight victory.

In an 85-81 slugfest against Duke, in overtime, the Jayhawks punched their ticket to college basketball’s biggest stage.

After two straight seasons of defeats in the Elite Eight, it made the reward of the Final Four that much more special for all of the players in the program, or those who have already gone through it and watched from a distance.

Doubted for most of the season with a lack of depth, lack of size and home losses, the Jayhawks were happy to prove people wrong again with their run through the Midwest Regional. A look at many of the reactions from KU’s victory against Duke, which includes several from Jayhawks who made it possible.

It's Mitch Lightfoot. The article about Lightfoot, by Chasen, has that exact same photo but from the other side.

Love the tweets . Jo Jo " GAME OVER ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK " - - -Marcus Morris " Don't disrespect us Let's go boys " - - Silvio- - " keep on doubting " - - SVI - -mentioning the doubters. I mentioned this in previous posts I really believe although they won't come right out and say it publicly. - -I truly think the boys DO feel a little disrespected - - -some chip on their shoulders. - I mean all through the year not really given respect by hardly anyone - -wasn't gonna win their 14th straight - -they won - -then they turned around won the post season conference tourney. - - -Then all we hear from the ESPN guys others saying that we had the best chance of being the 1st # 1 to be upset by a # 16 under seated Penn - - -didn't happen. - -Then Clemson would beat us - - didn't happen - -then comes DUKE - and you know what they were saying there. - -so many non believers - yes even me to an extent - but I'll eat all the crow they wanna feed me- -I'm not worthy lol - but unlike others I wasn't nearly as bad - a lot of people giving the guys NO RESPECT PERIOD - -so like Silvio - - LaGerald says - -KEEP ON DOUBTING

agreed, as a fellow Jayhawk, I did doubt this team was final four material at times this season.

Being wrong has never felt so right.
