Bill Self needs to up and down like he’s on the trampoline urging his players to play with more energy. You can’t tell a players to just do something, you need to mimic what you want your players to do: ex. fear; actions speak louder than words especially in sports; especially in coaching.
Example Mark Mangino the John Calipari of college football did it and produced the Anthony Davis basketball of American football.

I wouldn’t tell Michigan that

Proud of him working hard. However, A coach AND ALL players should ALWAYS be aggressive--It is what is expected. (What if Mark Mangino aka the American Football version of John Calipari without a National Championship, ala w/OU were a basketball coach? He gives (he would give the team more energy and aggressiveness. (Bill self doesn't really get "in" to it (from what I have seen; at least over the past few years; such as jumping up and down like on a trampoline to urge his team. (even when he had our dominant teams. It is unexpected to look up to other players aggressiveness.
If you're not aggressive gamely, do not play for us.

Ochai I love your attitude. That is what I (just as any other true KU basketball fan) want(s) to hear.

Cliff played a soft high school schedule to make him be viewed as standout elite. The recruiting world takes advantage of players for one team (uses them to make one team bad if they know they will head to one school) and help them for another team (if they know they will choose that school). Somehow (their is a secret tool box that tells and more specifically perhaps steers elite Anthony Davis’s away from KU. “Could be bad news from who knows when.”

Didn’t Svi play in a different league then come to college?
Hopefully R.J. does it for experience then comes back to college and join KU.

From the looks of things, the only way for KU to get back in the mix would be for a year like 2008 (and sooner than later-as duke and UK are starting to be pulling away gradually from everyone else) and yes I am not talking about a winning a national championship; it was how we recruited that helped us win, at that time, it was no so much the OAD era, but once we can win with OAD in this era, we will be in the discussion,

Duke/UK seem to go forward, we seem to go backwards.
Until there is a quick fix there is no looking ahead.

-- how --

KU doesn’t defend the three in the tournament, and just stand there, being too relaxed, it true as (I would be deciding policy rules if I said who said relaxed the team too much).
--just pressure the crap out of the ball in the tournament--as that has cost us possibly two national titles (2009-10, 2010-11) as we would have been 38-2, two years straight).

Here's something to think about?

Look at Andrew W., and Joel E.
They are great NBA players now,
Something says there “could” be a lack of coaching experience or perhaps/hopefully not-
–no coaching experience, from HCBS’s staff. After a “could” be a lack of coaching experience or perhaps/ hopefully not-–no coaching experience or a lack of coaching effort from the HCBS staff, those two best players (with the exception of a passionate Ben Macklemore–yes I said passionate) in the HCBS era did not live up to their to their “potential” at KU

I think at KU there are a mix of passionate players and players not giving their A game all the time, and that will make it worse–their players that play with passion soon will longer play with passion and then nobody will, then oh no!

Thoughts?
