Sadly, you're correct and Kerr is one of the worst. I won't root against Wiggins but I can't stand the NBA. I haven't watched it regularly since the Jordan era and sadly, Kerr was there then too.

How can anyone hate on Mitch Lightfoot? The guy has bled KU his entire career. He’s done exactly what was asked of him from the coaching staff. He’s been one of my all-time favorite players because of his blue collar mentality. He isn’t always flashy but he always comes to work. He does his best with the minutes he gets and honestly, coach trusts his play, and for good reason. He may not be a scoring machine but he does what he needs to do get the job done. And this isn’t saying he was #1 I just love ML and think he is very underrated as to what he contributes to the team. Always love watching his minutes to see what he will bring. He may not be our best player but he brings his lunch pail everyday and goes to work.

While I'd normally say play on, with this virus you truly don't know who will get sick and who will die. My wife has worked in a Covid ICU for a large hospital in Tulsa and has seen so much death this past 2 years that it has become the norm rather than the exception. She has watched new mothers die from covid and having never held their child (this has happened more times than I can recall). They have lost many people in their 20's and even some in their teens. The university cannot take the risk that a player will get sick and especially die. Most of those who end up ventilated don't have any quality of life going forward as they have been so deprived of oxygen for so long that they have brain damage. Until you have watched someone suffer with this terrible virus you just won't understand the detriment is has on a person and a family. The best defense against it is to vaccinate and get boosted as directed. I was of the first 30 doses given in Reno County and have had my booster. I am a healthcare worker as well and a big advocate for vaccines. I don't know why this has become so politically charged. President Trump rolled the vaccine out on his watch and Biden continued it so no matter which side of the isle you fall both support it even if they have slung $ho& on the other for lack of support. The yo-yo is Fauci so stop listening to him speak. He clearly is an egomaniac. Just do with the CDC recommends. Get vaccinated!

Is it just me or is this the oldest looking high school senior pic in the country this year? My techs both thought it was a coach in his mid-thirties. LOL

I am eating my words on Daniels. I didn't think he had the ability to be a starter. Well he proved me wrong. I'm happy to admit that. The line played pretty well as tonight. This team has made huge improvements over last season. I can't wait to watch the season finale next Saturday. I'll be at home (Owasso, Oklahoma), on my new couch, in my new home, watching my new 77 inch lg oled c1, hooked to my Polk LSIM 707's, 706 center, 703 middles and 702 FX surrounds. The true audiophile setup and what better way to break them in! I'm ready to rock! I've been without the HT for months now and it's driven me nuts. Can't wait to see the new TV and the first game I'll see will be my Kansas Jayhawks! Rock Chalk Baby! Let's kick some West Virginia @ss!

That video though! The Big Man gave me chills! Coach you got screwed! We still love you! Rock Chalk!

Great article Matt. I hope this does energize the base. I'm in the Tulsa area now and thus it's OU or OSU. Drives me nuts and I still fly my Crimson and Blue with pride! I will make efforts to go to the games down here when possible (when they play KU) and love to come to Lawrence when things improve. It's hard to make that drive when the product isn't very good though so I watch most games on TV. Anyway, I enjoyed the article a bunch! Rock Chalk Jayhawk! KU!

What else is the coach gonna say? These guys are terrible and we're gonna wipe the field with them? This is nothing more than coach speak. I'm not bagging on our team but if we were playing Bama NS would have nice things to say. That's the way they play it.

I'd say that if one of them ran away with it and it were to make the team better it would have to be Bean coming in and being dominant. Playing at a higher level by the time the season opener hits. My take if one of the other two starts we may see some progress and in Kendrick as I said before, consistency, but I don't think either will be expected to wow anyone. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe that year from freshman to sophomore makes a huge difference for Daniels. Anyone's guess.

I've been in the Kendrick camp since he arrived. I've always thought he was a decent QB who didn't get ruffled by a bad throw or a poor play. He's always been consistent and I've often wondered how he'd perform if given the chance to have the reigns of the team to guide them. Not to have coaches breathing down his neck so that he's not allowed a mistake. We all know Daniels made plenty of those last season. I don't know Bean so I can't speak to his talents so my money is on Kendrick as the safe pick for calling the right plays and making the right reads. Here's hoping he can put together a good season. He deserves it if anyone does whose lined up behind center for Kansas the last 30 years.
