Commit to starting Harris as PG. He's our only true PG & we play so much better with him running the show. Move Garrett back to SG & free him up to score & play defense.

Play faster, run more, get in our offense quicker. Won't make us an elite team, but gives us a much better chance to win & play more to our current roster's abilities.

Two things occur to me regarding this KU team.

Obviously, it's not nearly as strong as we've all become accustomed. That's the obvious part which leaves very little room for error every game.

And secondly, we only have ONE true PG on this team that is effective & ready to play now & that's Harris, He has good ball handling skills, plays good defense, and passes & distributes the ball well.

Move Garrett back to his more natural position as a wing/SG.

This strategic move alone won't make us a great team, but it will make us a better & more competitive team with a better chance to win more games.

I believe Harris is the only true PG we have that is ready to play. Thompson has been hurt & his early freshman results have indicated he still has much to learn along with needing to be stronger physically as well.

When Garrett was hurt & didn't play vs TCU, Harris came in & did a great job running the show. We blew them out on the road by over 20 points & KU looked like an entirely different team.

We all know that we're know nearly as strong a team without Doke & Dot & our margin for error is much smaller. With Harris running the point, we can not only compete, but have a good chance to win most of our games.

rcj, go ku!!!

James Miller, you hit the nail on the head.

We need a true PG to run this team & set the the tone for both out Offense & Defense. When Marcus was hurt & Harris started, we looked like an entirely different team & blew out TCU on their court.

Thompson is hurt & not ready yet & Harris is our best choice for PG.

Move Marcus back to to a SG & let him defend & score when he can.

McCormick is finally coming around & play Mitch more as well to rest him.

We may not have a great team this year, but we're definitely a MUCH better team with a proper PG running the show.

Harris as PG, play our butts off on Defense & at least we have a decent chance to win most of our games. Still a thin margin for error, but a much better chance to win.

Benton, ty for the detailed story on the game.

Are any of the games available anywhere to watch live or even in replay?

rockcjayhawk (Jerry Rockhold) says...

Matt, ty for the story updates & videos. It's great to see a preview of this very promising KU BB team.

One suggestion for the videos, would it be possible to list the player's practice jersey #s to help identify the new players?

rockcjayhawk (Jerry Rockhold) says...

I don't think the basketball area of AFH is air-conditioned.

rockcjayhawk (Jerry Rockhold) says...

Why in the world would you write & publish a sports story without the actual score?

Lost in 2 sets is just not nearly enough. Can you imagine doing that for basketball or football or

any other sport for that matter? Come on LJW, you're better than that. Would be great to see

you actually care & correct this oversight.

I think it would enhance your overall coverage of KU baseball and softball if you would also "always" list the overall & conference record of their opponent.

Thank you.
