He got hit in the head because he wasn't paying attention. 'Nuff said.

You walk it up, letting an experienced team that is one of the best defensive teams in the country set their defense - and everyone wonders why a very young team had trouble scoring points. I seriously doubt that SDSU had the better bench, yet KU's bench was not used to force the tempo creating to fatigue, leading to SDSU fouls and easier shots.
We've seen this game many times, KU plays down to another team's level because it does not try to force the other team to play up to KU's capabilities.

How does an announcer in any way affect the game? The truth is that there have been a number of OADs at KU that haven't lived up to the hype for whatever reason.
It hasn't been spoken of much, but this season is a test of Self's ability to coach OADs. People can write-off Xavier and Selby all they like, but there has been one constant. If Wiggins's and Selden's stock drops after coming here (Embiid will be fine) that is going to be the subject of negative recruiting.

This isn't rocket science. If you have the better talent and are struggling on offense, try to change the tempo to create more opportunities for your player to make a move on the open floor. Force your opponent to react faster than they are used to. The OR FB's offense is based on that. Instead, how many times did SDSU get to walk it up and how many times did KU walk it up and allow SDSU to set their defense.

Let's be glad we finally got over on UTEP. I think one loss was in the tourney that UTEP won and another was a 2nd round tourney loss when Don Haskins out-coached Roy Williams and Tim Hardaway drove at will. That one still smarts.

Too many talented players (not a bad thing at all!) + too many freshman + too many fouls = clumsy game with no flow. It'll get better.

I think Rele will get a look somewhere because of his size, defensive ability, and will be inexpensive.

The Ville couldn't generate enough revenue from FB (that's what this is all about). Bringing in any schools other than FSU, Miami (and possibly GTech and Clemson) mean the other B12 schools take a pay cut.

Of course KU can, should, and probably will win the B12 next year - the B12 along with the P12 are the bottom feeder leagues of BCS BB. Before all the B12 homers get all spun up, just ask yourself how many B12 teams apart from KU and the School FKA Oklahoma Agriculture and Mechanical have won the NC. Answer - None. The new Catholic 7 league with Butler, Creighton and Xavier will be better.

Something was very wrong about that game. EJ didn't have your 1/14 shooting night typical bad game. From the nutpunch to the 3 fouls in the first half. to the 10 second call, to the missed front end of the 1 and 1 that would've sealed the game, to the final ill-advised play - EJ was almost actively trying to defeat KU.
