Idiotic statements about Beaty helping another coach analyze their opponent. There is no rule against it. He is not employed by KU and the university can not control where he uses his knowledge or who he helps unless there’s some contractual obligations not yet disclosed. Haters going to pick at Beaty cause that makes you feel good. But ask yourself, where do you think Garrett Riley is this week and where is your “outrage” about it? #stupidpeople. There’s more of them than us.

Kansas produces approximately a dozen football players every year that are 3 star and above that play Div 1 football. The 3 cities of Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston produce an average of 750 D-1 football players every year. Louisiana produces many more then the State of Kansas. This isn’t rocket science. It’s basic math. Yes, we all would love to see the local kids choose Kansas. But no, they should not be prioritized over recruits from other areas. No stone unturned.

Couldn’t agree more Craig. “Phans” need to relax. D Lawson is too good to not produce. If you don’t believe that, do you believe Bill Self misses that badly in evaluating talent?

The missed placed anger at coaching staffs is laughable. Kansas has almost always ranked last in spending for football in the conference, and has gotten what they paid for. Only “phans” and “journalists” would expect consistent, competitive football from an administration that doesn’t care. BGL was entirely too hands off for far too long, and allowed incompetence in the athletic department who always cared about protecting the basketball program as the ticket to a job and contract renewal. This approach left the players holding the bag, hence the terrible attendance records overall. If “phans” want to be angry, be mad at at Kansas Administration. If “phans” want to demand change and have their voices heard, then join the Williams Fund, buy season tickets and occasionally show up, even when things aren’t ideal. ISU has pretty consistently outdrawn Kansas in football, even when those two programs were equally non-competitive. Kansas Cotten exactly what the “phans” and administration have focused on and paid for.

I suspect QB is only part of the equation to team success. Tom, since you mention Patrick Mahomes, can you tell us how many games TTU won with him as QB on average ?

Did I miss the rest of the articles / list of potential interim coaches you were working on Tom?

“Phans” and “journalists” are concerned with “QB Controversy”. This team has improved. Having 2 reasonably capable QB’s is a huge improvement. And many Power 5 coaches will use more than one QB so it’s not anything to be overly concerned about. I’m looking forward to seeing if the team & staff can co to us to show signs of improvement with his upcoming road test in Waco
