Welcome Tristan! I wonder if he was at either of the tourney games we just played in SLC. That would have been a cool experience.

Does anyone know what Nike pays top-tier programs like Duke or Michigan State? I'm just curious how this contract compares.

For me, the no brainer is for Adidas to have this deal...I don't know how much revenue they receive from Kansas merch every year, but I would imagine 14 million is a great deal for them.

If HCBS ever does go somewhere, whether that's the NBA, retirement or whatever, I think Chris Beard deserves to be seriously considered for the job. Not that anyone would want to leave the utopia of Lubbock, TX...

Dedric might get drafted late in the second round but it's really hard to see him as a contributor in the NBA. Right now, he's like a slow Perry Ellis. I'm not sure if another year at Kansas would make him faster, but he could definitely work on his inside game, which could be attractive to scouts.

I honestly don't remember a team in the Self era that entered the tournament with more of a question mark than this team, at least for me. What I mean by that, is I don't have any idea what to expect. If we lose today, I would be disappointed, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised, especially after games like at OU and at WV. But I also wouldn't be really surprised if we win both games this weekend, get back to KC, and make the Final Four again, especially after the way we looked in home wins against teams like TTU and KSU. Hopefully we can play with some confidence, keep it lose and free and win one game at a time. Rock Chalk!!

I'm hesitant to take two home wins, convincing as they were, and an overtime road win against a mediocre team, as evidence that everything is coming together. The real test will be Saturday. If we can win in Lubbock, I love our chances against KSU next Monday, and will even feel good about everything coming together for when it counts most.

Sorry, that's what I was saying, but I didn't phrase it well. I think they will lose two, which means we would need to win out. It's hard to see them losing 3 of their last 7, which would give us one extra game to lose. Not to look past WV, but to me the big question mark is in Lubbock. We'd better be ready for a real fight.

I'm pulling for the Cyclones this Saturday.

This is a great example of Self applying pressure on K-State. Truthfully it's hard to imagine them not losing at least one more game, other than at AFH. But it may be even more difficult to imagine them losing three of their last seven, which means we would have to win out to tie them at four losses. That's a tall order for this team, but Dotson hit it right on the head, take it one game at a time.

Slowing down and playing not to lose is such a common mistake for teams at every level. Doing that on the road can often be fatal and almost was tonight. I was so impressed by our guys hanging in there, overcoming adversity and holding on for the win. I haven't been big on KJ this year but his two shots at the end of regulation and overtime, were monster shots. As was Ochai's out-of-rhythm three to get us on the board in overtime!

I love Dedric, but he deserved to sit to end the first half. Not just for yelling at HCBS but for the careless transition three he took right before that. He's smarter than that and the way defenses are locking him up, he's going to have to learn to respond with intellect and toughness instead of frustration.
