Some kind of compensation is justified, most of us agree. However, I fear repercussions far and wide resulting from "in kind" remuneration. Envy & jealousy can destroy everything built during boot camp.
I am not sure that I have enough time left to observe sustained football success. But, I do believe HCLL will get us there at some point. You never know, I'm thinking we might be looking at a victory between now and season's end.
Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Being a Garden of Eden kind of guy, I say, the chicken. Ergo, players are required before positive results. As a result, we are screwed!!
The players that were big, strong, fast and talented enough left for greener pastures. We are stuck with those who had no place to go. So be it. Make the best of it Focus on recruiting!
USC had superior size & length and they played the best possible game, both halves. HCBS year in and year out is the CEO of a perennial force in college basketball. Given all that is going on related to our basketball program, he saved the season with his management and people skills. Any school or organization would love to have him. RCJHKU!
Our culture is completely out of control. 10-yr old flirting allegations made by a 20-yr old. No one living & breathing in this universe can pass any stringent litmus test that might be used to avoid a similar situation. I feel badly for my alma mater, Les Miles, his family and, most of all, this very "lost" culture in which we live.
At almost 74 yrs old and 51 plus yrs since graduating in 1969, I am still confident that my Hawks will be a consistent winner before I enter the pearly gates of Larryville in the Sky!
