Story says EJ scored 12 points. Box score shows 4(2pt goals), 3(3pt. goals and 1 FT. That adds up to 18 points in my calculation. What gives?

March_______, you may not remember when Greg Anthony was an All-American guard on a UNLV team that lost to Roy's team early in Roy's tenure but did win a NC. He also was a very good student in school. I think he does pretty well. I'm still waiting for an unbiased comment in these observations. I've watched KU basketball since the fall of 1939. Ups and downs. It is fun to watch this team. I get the biggest kick out of Jeff blocking/altering shots. Hoping he might have a NBA career ahead.

All the comments above are essentially correct. The observation not made is how muchKevin Young contributes in the paint. Rebounds, can and does score, makes Withey even more effective by covering his(KY's) territory. His rebounding is a major contribution. Watch him and see how many things he does to contribute.

Why so long? Clyde is the only collegian to win the scoring title and lead his team to the NCAA championship.

Bill Self, like most adults needs a good primary care physician locally who can take care of him for most medical problems. The fact that he is probably the best basketball coach in the USA doesn't make his medical needs different. The Mayo Clinic is a great operation but they put their pants on one leg at a time and they make mistakes. I could tell you about a number of them while I practiced in the Kansas City Area. By not ignoring signs and symptoms of possible medical problems should help insure his continuation as another long term and successful KU basketball coach.

Would someone explain to me how Connectcut is out of next years's NCAA but Kentucky brings in a NBA development team who doesn't go to class the second semester, then mostly goes to the NBA yet seems to incur no penalties related to academic progress?

Clyde won 3 NBA Championship rings, won All-America twice, won NCAA in 1952 and followed that with Olympic win and a gold medal. Also only player to ever win the scoring and have his team with NCAA.

3 yrs. With his academics he will have no trouble getting degree in 3 years while growing in BB Know-How. Worth $ to NBA and $ to the rest of his life.

The posters above must be near idiots. Probably understand LaCrosse but not basketball. Time off to rest the entire team should be helpful in the NCAA. This bitching about any player on a specific game just demonstrates a lack of understanding of how competitive Div I BB is these days. Syracuse lost, Kansas lost, so what?
The real test starts next week. All these guys bitching about KU BB players might spend more time being nice to to their wives and get out some of their aggression in the bedroom!!
