Great points, Matt.
I believe the bigger concern is not the throw to Pick, but the many other throws he has missed.
He missed a big throw in game 2 when he fell down to avoid contact and it led to an int.
In game 3, he threw behind the tight end repeatedly.
He seems to have a big arm, but little touch.

Maybe after KU finds a QB, they can focus on finding a place kicker.
Both are pretty bad right now.
OK, now that the negative is out of the way, I had a dream KU beat Texas in the shocker of the year. (I don't recall either the QB or the PK'er, but hey, a win's a win)

I am still not giving up. KU missed 2 field goals that could/should have won the game. That will even out this season.
I know it sounds crazy, but I still think they can beat TCU this week and N. Illinois next week.
This loss may draw this team together and be a spring-board for the rest of this season.

ND won a league championship? That would be amazing since they are Independent.

Even more amazing than a person with the handle "vd" commenting on risky behavior.

Head Coach who has won Championships: Check
Defensive Coach who has won a Championship: Check
Strength & Conditioning Coach who has developed a Championship team: Check
Talented Quarterback: Check

Time needed to turn around a 2-10 program: Not Yet

Geez, Cunningham, give Weis a little time to install his system.

He has won multiple Super Bowls in the toughest football league in the world (NOT the SEC, Tiger fans),

Went 35-27 and coached in 2 BCS bowl games at a school that has tough academic standards to recruit to (and has not been relevant for over 20 years, with multiple coaching changes), and

Has placed Kansas (yes, Kansas) on the College Football (Yes, Football) map without yet coaching a game.

The only thing risky about this hire is that he may end up being hard to keep in Lawrence. I will gladly take THAT risk!!

Here's a quick break-down of KU's opponents schedules & how to get to 6 wins:

S. Dakota State: Must-win home opener.

Rice: 1st road game after home opener vs. ucla.

tcu: Possible national audience. TCU will be on the road for their 2nd game of the season after opening the previous week with a "practice" vs Grambling. KU will be in their 3rd game and at home. Weis should be ready!!

@ Northern Illinois: Battle-tested after opening in Soldier Field vs Iowa, home vs. Tenn-Martin, & @ Army in West Point.

Bye

@ K-State: Both teams coming off of a bye-week. In Manhattan. Coach Weis has stuck his neck out regarding 1 team in Kansas winning 10 games and not the other. Showdown!!

Ok State: Loss
@ OU: Loss
Texas: Loss
@ Baylor: Loss

@ Texas Tech:Coming off a stretch of ou, wv, @ tcu, @ ksu, & Texas. Close the season @ OSU & @ Baylor. May be ripe for a rare KU road win.

Iowa State: Coming off a 6 week stretch of @ tcu, ksu, @ osu, Baylor, OU, & @ Texas. Close the season at home vs WV. Must win!!

Bye

@ West Virginia: Last 5 of ksu, tcu, @ osu, ou, @ isu. ku is coming off its 2nd bye week of the season. Extra week could be a huge advantage with Weis & staff.

To get to 6 wins, KU needs to win its first 2 non-con games, 2 road wins (@ niu @ ksu, @ Texas Tech, or @ West Virginia), and 2 other home wins (TCU & Iowa State)

This was re-posted from a few weeks ago, but 6 seems plausible when broken down by week & assuming Weis & Campo will better learn their roster as the season progresses.

On Weis' success measured in wins, wary foes

Can't he get a reduced suspension?
