Man, I sure hope Jalen starts the season a little hot from three, as opposed to last year when he seemed obviously down on himself after the suspension. It would boost his confidence through the roof and lead to a great year for him. MJ Rice's highlights on Youtube remind me a lot of Wayne Selden. Gradey Dick seems like the most guaranteed incoming commodity we've had in a while considering all the accolades he's received. And I'm super curious how the big man situation will shake out. Will Cam Martin get any significant PT this year? Come on, November, get here already!!!
CB 0-8 Sunday, so 1-15 in Summer League so far. Hope he finds his stroke ASAP. Ochai looked great in first game, okay in second. Maybe they were just nervous playing against each other.
It has been well-documented how Ochai, who was already a very very good college ball player, took his training to an entirely different level last summer, worked harder than he ever thought possible, and then played his way into the lottery by executing on the court. I'm not sure Jalen has the same level of motivation and work ethic that is required to get there, as I have not heard or seen anything about him working extra hard tall summer, training with specialists, etc. But maybe he has been doing just that. I hope so, for his sake and for the sake of KU's success next year. I think Jalen's performance will be the crux of the season and make or break this team. If he improves and executes, the team will succeed, and then in turn his NBA dreams will be realized.
Rodney's entire enjoyment of sports is based on being argumentative as hell, tearing down other people's assessments, and bringing the aggressive hot takes, no matter how off-base. He's basically the Stephen A Smith of the KUsports.comment section.
There was a nice article in The Athletic a couple weeks back about McCullar potentially coming to KU as well… that mentions other Big 12 coaches absolutely hating the idea. That’s all you need to know.
"But even if they don't, the bottom line here is that if a player like Hunter wants to come to Kansas, the coaching staff will find room for him." Not a fan of this mentality. Who do we nudge out the door if we need a scholarship for Hunter? Yesufu? Cuffe? Would love to see him here if we have a scholly to give, but totally disagree with the practice of running guys off who have already been on the team for a year.

Probably makes more sense to wait a few days till it all shakes out and the roster is solidified one way or the other.
