NBA = Great Athletes, Terrible Basketball

Yesufu wasn't even a starter for Drake last year until he got semi-hot at the end of the year. He has not shown any Power 5 conference skills (so far).

David McCormack by all accounts is a great young man. However, he is not a great (or even good) basketball player. He isn't talented enough to be the guy you run your offense through. He holds on to the ball too long on double teams, he doesn't make power moves to the rim and doesn't rebound at even close to an adequate level. Lightfoot (except for his inability to stay out of foul trouble) has outplayed him. KJ Adams has brought more energy.
It is time for a change to be made but the season is lost. McCormack has had more than enough time in his career to get things figured out. He is a serviceable backup big man but nothing more.

"beginning with Wednesday’s season opener at Allen Fieldhouse versus SIU-Edwardsville (7 p.m., ESPN+)."

It would be nice if we had an inside threat at the 5.

Wow, we have a lot of chicken littles running around on this board.

In football we are losing Oklahoma (always overrated and lose miserably in the CFP) and Texas who has been not very good for years.

We are gaining Cincinnati (currently ranked #8) and BYU (currently ranked #15).
Houston has potential to be a great football when they add the appeal of being in a power conference.

It this the greatest outcome of all time, of course not but it also isn't as horrible as it is being portrayed on this board.

Another year another musical chairs QB situation with most likely the same results: loss

Nice! You were able to get in your passive aggressive "dig" in while making your post. You are truly a work of art.

What was the US population in 1918? What is the US population now? You can't do a straight comparison of deaths when the population has changed so dramatically. It's percentages. The problem we have now with COVID-19 is not the deaths. The death rates (%) have dropped to very very low. The rise now is people testing positive not dying or getting as severely ill. If you got the vaccination then you should be fine. Highly unlikely to get ill from the virus. If you didn't get the vaccine then you are taking a risk that you could get very ill but most likely would not die unless other underlying medical issues exist. Not much of a reason to wear a mask if you are vaccinated and if you aren't vaccinated and you only hang around people who are, you are really safe as well. The mask has become just a virtue signaling device used by the politicians on both sides the aisle.
