Well, it was announced yesterday that Gameday would be in Knoxville, TN this Saturday.

"Kickoff for next Saturday’s battle of the unbeatens is slated for 11 a.m. on FS1.

There's your answer to why ESPN will not do Gameday from Lawrence on Saturday. They aren't going to send the Gameday crew for a game not broadcast on ESPN. No way. No how.

I think there's at least a 50/50 chance they don't want the headache that will ensue if they come down hard on KU. Seems likely that if that happens, Self has a scorched earth plan ready to execute.

The NCAA is a corrupt mess that should be burned to the ground. Officials there have no clue how to handle this situation. There is literally no chance they can effectively police coaches like Cal or K as they pull the levers of NIL deals behind the scenes. Hell, they don't police either of those guys now and both are cheating their butts off in plain sight.

I think a rematch with Auburn probably would have had more marquis value as well. I'm not necessarily disappointed that it's Tennessee, though. I will say, however, when Tennessee constitutes the marquee opponent on your entire non-con slate, you know your non-con slate is act of robbery on the part of the athletic department; as in they are stealing money from fans by bringing in mostly teams that are just in it for the payday. This might be the worst non-con home schedule in the last 50 years. It's just pathetic.

And of course, security video exonerated Carlton as it showed the woman attacked him and he pushed her away UP a flight of stairs, not down it. I hear that the woman is known around campus as being bat guano crazy.

The Kansas City Star is fake news. Multiple sources have told...? Really? And not one will go on the record. And they have nothing from the one source that matters most: the police. This is just another reason their birdcage liner will be out of business within 10 years. NOBODY trusts them. Circulation is on a steady decline that will never turn around. And really, Lawrence Journal World, you shouldn't republish their FAKE news.

"Kansas returns three starters in Mason, Devonté Graham and center Landen Lucas, plus likely sixth man Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk. Either Carlton Bragg Jr. or Allen, if KU lands him, likely would lock down the fifth starting spot."

Whether KU lands Allen or not, I'd say there's about a 99% chance that Carlton is going to start ahead of him. A full year in the system (including last summer's practices and competition in South Korea), plus an off-season more in the S&C program under Andrea Hudy will give him a very big advantage over Allen.

But I suspect the chances that Allen is serious about considering KU are pretty slim anyway. If he signs here; great. He will have made a good choice. If not, fine too because KU will be just fine without him.

Yes, I'm quite certain that Randle was wowed by the presence of Gary Woodland and Kathleen Sebelius at the game.
