A merger with the PAC-12 would be great.

I would hate to see us disband to the Big 10. There is a history with the Big 8, now the Big 12. We have been playing KSU since 1913, Iowa State since 1908, Oklahoma State since 1958. We had been playing against Missouri since 1907, Nebraska since 1907, Oklahoma since 1919 and Colorado since 1947. The realignments have ruined traditional rivalries. New rivalries with the PAC-12 teams would be interesting, but please don't screw up history and tradition. Sometimes money just isn't the most important thing.

Watching the Ochai press conference, I am reminded of just what a really good young man he is. I really do wish him all the best in Cleveland. They got a good one.

Had to look it up. I thought - how in the world could there be a track hall of fame that DOESN'T have Ryun in it. It's the inaugural class.

Tanner sounds like an awesome addition to Mount Oread. Welcome to KU, Tanner!!

Great analysis as always, Matt.

Anyway you look at it, HCBS will have problems figuring out where to play people but they are not just good problems to have, but great problems to have. Looking forward to 5 months from now, but hoping that our football program will give us enough to be excited about that we won't be anxious for the start of bball.

The difference is boosters are doing now legally what was illegal a couple years ago. Specifically in the Miami deals, billionaire John Ruiz is loudly and proudly offering deals to athletes that are coming to Miami. He has hundreds under NIL contracts. D-2 schools and mid-majors will now be farm teams for Power Five schools. Would Stephen Curry have stayed at Davidson with an NIL deal available? Just one example. I doubt the courts will allow any kind of control on this. The mayhem will continue until colleges will essentially be banner waivers for their semi-professional teams that wear their logos.

Love this young man's enthusiasm. Really hope he gets the chance to play at the next level. If not, he will make a HELL of a coach - intelligent with tons of energy.

Obviously Rodney knows nothing about marketing. When you are trying to win a project (or in this case, convince a recruit to come to your school), you don't emphasize the bad, you emphasize the good (can't believe I have to actually say that). You don't go into a prospect's house and say "yeah, we have won a lot of games, but we cheated to get there by playing more. We just aren't as good as Kentucky, but hopefully you come here anyway.....pretty please!!"

Watched the game. Scrappy play by the Hawks. So fun watching in the first half. Tons of steals, working hard, not backing down. The National Champs were scared, very scared.

Keep going ladies. Build off this.

Yes.....we have more losses and we have more games played. Some of those include the Feb 3, 1899 loss to the Kansas City YMCA where we lost 5-16. It also includes the March 7, 1907 loss by 20-22 to William Jewel. No exactly significant losses since the KU team was effectively an intermural team under Naismith. Kentucky's wins also include decades under Adolph Rupp where Kentucky was essentially a semi-pro team. As Pamela mentions below, the key is that during the Self era, we closed the gap and are on the verge of surpassing it. It's a point to make with recruits to show how effective the program is and showcase our history, which is awesome.

Since John Calipari got to Kentucky for the 2009-2010 season, Self has won 382 games while Calipari has won 365.

I'll take HC Bill Self any day.
