In the tournament, you have to play. That is all Kansas has to do, is play. You put yourself in a position to be #1, now perform like you are....period. BTW. I feel good about the bracket!
It always depends on how the brackets breakdown. Wasn't that long ago when we all were thinking Final Four after beating Richmond and VCU... Then a little bump in the road. Cannot overlook ANYBODY!
I wish KU would have been a two seed. Georgetown has a much easier path. I'm beginning to think this may be the first year that none of the number one seeds make it to the final four.
KU rarely has problems with teams who are considered a big challenge for us, it is the teams that we are supposed to beat easily that we seem to have issues with. I hope we play NC, and I hope our 4 seniors get revenge on VCU! KU has as good of a chance to get back to the Final 4 as they did last year!
Losses to Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma show that we can lose to anybody in our bracket. Now we have to go and prove we're the number 1 seed every game now.
KU got the toughest 16 in the tournament. There are a couple of 14 and 15 teams KU would have demolished. Western Kentucky has a basketball tradition, so two traditions will be playing each other. KU ought to beat them by more than 10 points, but one never knows against teams like this.
After WKU the committee absolutely did KU no favors. If all goes according to the seeds, either KU or Louisville have the hardest path to the final four. If Louisville and KU are number 1 and 2 of the number ones this makes no sense at all. I think these committee get weirder and weirder in their selections and seedings, especially the seedings.
The people that voted KU really easy must be from Mizzery or Silo Tech.
I'm not complaining: we could have been a 2 seed. I think Louisville and all the 2 seeds but Ohio State have a tougher road than we do, and I prefer our slot to Ohio State's for geographical reasons.
It doesn't matter who we play in KC this weekend. If a 1 seed doesn't get past the first weekend, there are no excuses.
If we get past the first weekend, there will always be time to worry about the next one.
Tremendous play last week. The team is coming on strongly and that, to me, is a good sign. Defense is the key, and KU's "D" was excellent last week and if it continues like that we'll likely have a long run. GO JAYHAWKS!
I heard a quote a while back....the good teams make the play offs...the hot team wins. KU looked good in the Big 12 tournament....hopefully they can carry that forward.

I think we'll be fine against UNC in KC, but I'm worried about VCU or Michigan in the Sweet 16.

I don't think there is any chance of VCU beating us a second time.
Everyone had underestimated their athleticism and coaching.

That's what the whole state of Iowa thought about KU last week

There are a lot of tough teams in the South region, but the thing to keep in min is that KU only has to play four of them. Its proving time, baby!

I suggest you Google the 2011 NCAA tournament and specifically the seeds of UConn, Kentucky, Butler, and VCU.

Don't overlook Villanova. I think they beat UNC and KU will have a tough time with them. Hopefully we prevail, though.

If TCU can beat us, anyone else can. Respect your opponent and we will play six more games.

Why do people worry about VCU an UNC? We have to beat WKU first. They're much better than TCU and we know what happened there.

Just strong defense thruout the tournament is all they need to do. And knock down everything that they shoot up...
