I love EJ, but unless that jumper has gotten alot better hes not going to capitalize on the increased number of looks he likely to see as much as Withey is.

Dude, he does have a good jump shot.
If EJ puts the ball on the floor and drives to bucket, there is no doubt in my mind he will lead the team in scoring. However, if he settles for the 3 ball like he did at the beginning of last season, he won't be leading anything.
Agree. McLemore and EJ will be 1 and 2 in the scoring column. And each of the starters will have a couple 20+ games. Sure like to see Withey get a couple triple/doubles. How about JW averaging 4+ blocks a game.
Adams and White could each be big contributors in scoring. I voted for McNasty.
Elijah and McLemore neck and neck...I'm thinking Elijah will be the better scorer, as he managed to get double digits playing behind Tyshawn.
His experience and the fact that he will be the primary ballhandler will pay off as well.
Elijah Johnson will have a legit shot at being the leading scorer so long as Jeff Withey doesn't try to be a hero when he's Double teamed, and he will be by some opponents.
However, it won't be just EJ that will benefit if Withey gets 3 to 4 assists per game along with a double/double average, and likely a few triple doubles scattered in there.
Of course, until the team is seen in real game situations with the new players, this is still up in the air. If the other guys are as fast as EJ are and athletic, there is no reason they shouldn't be the favorites to win the Big 12 again.
Dark horse candidate. Travis releford. If he can consistantly start hitting his open 3s and is more agressive offensivly he has an outside shot.
I hope it is Ben or some other "new" player. We are replacing a lot of scoring from our team last year and we need increased scoring from JW and EJ, unless if one of the other players step up big time.
I'm part of the (currently) 7% that chose Withey. Self likes to work inside out. He is going to be our primary big man. He will hit tons of free throws- we know that. And from every interview I've read/listened to he's been working a lot on his offensive game, particularly his mid range jumper.
