In truth, I also no longer care, because, we will have a team, and the only question now is who will be on it, and can it be effective. We have had years where we clearly had the best talent in the conference, now the jury is out a little bit on that, and we will have to be better next year just to have a change to win the conference. We like started over last year, and this year we may well be starting over again. If Dotson does not come back, we will be starting over, and it could well be ugly.

ActuallyPrecious reminded me a little too much of Diallo. Anyway who we don't get is not as important as who we do.
Our biggest problem last year was 3pt shooting, in four of our losses we shot under 33%, and that won't cut it. It's late in the game and we need a 3pt bucket. Who do you want to shoot the shot? Last year it was D.J. Lawson or Q. , or early on, Vick. !???

This year is really the deal breaker. Unfortunately he will rise or fall on what his recruiting class can do right away. Minimally he needs a winning record overall and in the conference.
He talks a lot about what he wants to do, maybe not enough about what the players he recruits are capable of.
I noticed with Miles, that he makes no such statements, he talks about finding ways to use the talent of the players he has.
I wish Coach Schneider the very best, but the time is now.

The fact that we lost out to Memphis and Texas Tech, is quite likely a harbinger of good news.We really are close on Precious and R. J. Now if only Silvio would be let out of prison.

This is really big. Wonder if Silvio is out of question now. Enaruna's upside is big. I predict he is actually more what we need than a 6;5 hot shot, but then again we may get Rucker, or R.J.
We now have 3 4star players and more to come.

I truly believe there is going to be an attention to detail, and a discipline to detail that we simply have not had for years.
Good players will be better now, mediocre players will begin to be good, that is what coaching is all about.

It is entirely possible that if he comes back, then we don't get R.J.On the other hand, R J. could probably play in a 4 guard lineup, with Dok.But would we have the 3pt shooting from the other guards to really make it work.
Biggest thing last year was that Grimes needs the ball, and we have a point guard, who also has the ball. Instead of learning from that he sort of fought it the whole season. If he comes back, he has to really buy in.

We should never get to worked up over one and done, and soon it will be over anyway. What we should focus on is how the coach's deal with it.
Actually our current situation derives in great part from the recruiting for the year 2017.Billy Preston, Silvio DeSousa and Marcus Garrett.
That is only 33% percent of current activity. If we get Silvio, then we can call it a success, butif we don't that means that class ended up being very weak in terms of minutes played, over all.Yes, I know Silvio played a lot before suspension, but you have to see it from the standpoint that his being on the team and unable to play used up a scholarship that could have gone to someone who would be contributing next year.
Obviously it looked great when it happened, but it is a big part of where we are now.

Mr. Howard has helped with a lot of top recruits. So give him his due. Made some mistakes, but havent' we all.
I refuse to get to giddy about R.J. because the girl who really wants you is the one that matters, and all the rest is just bright lights and manipulation.
We also need to get over OAD, that is a mental disease in which one escapes the overall reality of a team by looking for the quick fix, which 90% of the time is a mirage.
The only reason I am not 100% against OAD, is because of Josh Jackson. There was never a player that came to play as a freshman like he did. He was every bit as good as his billing.
He played like a man, he played to win, and he did not try to protect his multi-million dollar body
In many ways our problems of front court cannot be solved by R. J. So let's remember that.RCJH

Hampton is the one player that would make a difference. He is multi-talented, and he can play with others.
If he reclassifies, we have to hope that there is none of the NCAA crap going on, so he comes here and can't play.
If Silvio can play and Hampton reclassifies, we are out of the outhouse and in to the penthouse all at once.
If Silvio can't come back, then Blackshear coming to KU would make my day.
