Totally disagree. What we need are coaches that can produce winners out of 2 and 3 star recruits. Then the studs will come. Selling them an NFL ticket won't work in a couple of years if the results remain as they are. I don't care if we have guys going to the NFL or not. It isn't going to happen. Still behind this coaching staff, but development has to happen for this program to succeed.

Glad to see Turzilli get a chance. I still think he's our best option at WR. Been saying that.

Pretty much my assessment as well. Well said.

Sick as this may sound, all of those people you mentioned had great success at what they did. However, Mark Mangino was no Charles Manson nor Adolph Hitler. Good grief...
Also, I'd like to add that there was a lot more going into those 7 losses than the witch hunt that was insuing. Namely, the star QB had a groin injury that kept him performing the way he was capable of performing. And....our OL wasn't too good either!

It's not going to happen. That was the deal when we hired Weis. Let it ride this season.

Agree 100%. I too think Heaps is a big improvement. I will even go as far to say that he may have one of the best all around arms in the nation as far as accuracy / power combination. Up to the O-Line to develop. C'mon Grunny...

I didn't say that. The ticket is still out on Grunhard as a college coach. We'll see in a year or two though.

So you think that's how it works. Recruit 5 star athletes and you do all the right things? So wrong. Ask Bill Callahan if that's true. It's all about coaching that talent. Period.

As much as I want to see us shove it down their throat, I think he's right that some play action might help soften up the middle a little. Let's get our tight ends open over the middle. Start making their linebackers defend that area of the field. Should open up some for some bigger running plays.

Um, running has not been our thing so far against the lousy opponents we've played. Anyone that thinks we've ran the ball well are fooling themselves.
