If Graham wasn't white-hot vs. Syracuse, we would've lost that one too. I'm not sure if we had a basket in transition. Have to figure out how to beat zones.

Bill Self is our coach and he's a very damn good coach. It'll always be that way and I'm happy it will. This team simply needs to stop folding up in the Elite 8. Here are our three point numbers in every Elite 8 game under Self: 2004 vs. Georgia Tech: 6/19 (31.6%), 2007 vs. UCLA: 4/8 (50%), 2008 vs. Davidson: 5/14 (35.7%), 2011 vs. VCU: 2/21 (9.5%), 2012 vs. UNC: 4/14 (28.6%), 2016 vs. Villanova: 6/22 (27.3%), 2017 vs. Oregon: 5/25 (20%). The moral of the story is we simply need to come through. We've had wide open looks too, just choked them away. It's a psychological hurdle we cannot get over. We need to focus less on Xs and Os in preparation for the Elite 8. Gotta get these kids mentally ready, it's Armageddon.

A little off-topic but does anyone know any non-conference opponents? I know we play Siena, Indiana (Armed Forces Classic), Duke (Champions Classic), Georgetown, and @UNLV. I also heard rumors about us playing on Pearl Harbor Day in Hawaii but I'm not sure if that's true. Why would we go to Hawaii twice in a month?

On Can KU corral another No. 1-and-done today?

Anyone have any full games from this season? I've downloaded almost all of them from YouTube. Here are the ones I'm missing:
Pittsburg State, Northern Colorado, Chaminade, Harvard, UC Irvine, TCU (both), Kansas State (both, regular season), @Oklahoma State, @Texas Tech, Austin Peay, and UConn.
I feel like we'll cut the nets this year, so I'm trying to have the full season on my computer.

We should've learned a lot from West Virginia on how to defend. Stepping in passing lanes, help-defense, trapping...The 2012-13 team did a lot of that. If Bill can resort back to that style of play, I like this team a lot moving forward. Too bad if he does because none of the players are inspired anyway...

When this team falls behind in a game, they quit. Our win over Oklahoma is becoming more and more stunning. This team could never pull off what the 2011-12 team did in February and beyond. They were called the 'Comeback Kids' for a reason.
This team has no idea what it takes to win a title and it's sad because there is so much talent. Even the 2012-13 team that started kevin freakin young would mop the floor with these guys. Until we start seeing blood, sweat, and tears left on the floor, this nonsense that has occurred since Trey Burke buried that 35-footer will continue. I can only imagine if this team got mad and played with a fire lit under them. We'd be the best team in the country easily!!

KUfanfromNJ (Ryan Patti) says...

This Jayhawks team is very talented, that doesn't concern me. What concerns me is the effort and effort is essential in putting teams away late in games. I feel like now we need Diallo because this team we currently have on the floor is very similar to last year's. If you want it more than we do, 9 times out of 10 you're going to take the game away from us. We need Diallo if we want to hang #4 in the fieldhouse because no big man moves down the court like he does and attacks the glass. There won't be any second chance opportunities for our opponent when he is on the floor and no inside shot will come easy. I just want to see more desire out of the guys on the floor because right now we just have to deal with Diallo on the sideline...

I found the UNC game

KUfanfromNJ (Ryan Patti) says...

Does anyone know how to find or do they have the full round of 32 game vs Purdue in 2012? I am actually trying to find every full game during that tourney run, but I can only find the final four games.

KUfanfromNJ (Ryan Patti) says...

We need to see more of Selden and less of Mason. As good as Mason is, we can't afford the shots he puts up and the streaky defense he plays. In the tournament he will be the key. But now, to get things started, we need our best 5 out there for a majority of the game because the rotation is clearly throwing things off.

On Warm Florida welcome awaits Joel Embiid
