The thing that I hate the most is knowing that the good taste in our mouths after TCU will be replaced with something bitter after Saturday. One thing is sure: the offense needs to help our defense by keeping them off the field. A lot of people are thinking the defense is the key to hanging with Baylor. While I think the defense is obviously very key, having the offense move the ball limits Baylors time to put points on the board.

Yep. Last week was about 35 to 25 in our favor. Huge.

One other thing about the D, in the past KU usually had one player who is just a tackling machine. This can be attributed to the defense always being on the field, the number of plays run against it, imbalance of defensive talent (that's the nice way to put it), and the players themselves (Smithson, Heeney, etc.). This season Fish is the leading tackler again, but he doesn't even crack the top 40 in the Big 12. Funny how even this can be looked at positively as a sign of defensive progress.
