To conclude the weekend, the Kansas women’s tennis team was handed a 4-1 defeat by Iowa State Sunday afternoon at the Forker Courts. It came two days after a convincing 6-1 road victory over West Virginia.

Malkia Ngounoue and Julia Deming of Kansas were in a 4-4 deadlock before their doubles match went unfinished. Karvouni notched the first and only point of the afternoon for the Jayhawks with a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

Iowa State (12-4) responded by claiming three singles victories on court six, one and three. KU fell to 7-7 on the year with the loss, which came after back-to-back wins over Kansas State and West Virginia.
