The Kansas women’s tennis team got back in the win column by securing a 4-1 win over Kansas State Sunday afternoon at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence.
Sunday’s win snapped a three-game skid for the Jayhawks, who are now 6-6 on the year.
To start doubles play, Carmen Manu and Tiffany Lagarde grabbed a 6-1 win out of the gate. Sonia Smagina and Vasiliki Karvouni followed suit with a 6-1 win of their own in their doubles match.
After claiming doubles point, the Jayhawks maintained that momentum during singles action. Manu won her match on court two to start things off, while Karvouni did the same with a solid showing on court four. Julia Deming later wrapped up the match with a victory on court six.
Kansas will travel to West Virginia at 1 p.m. Friday.
