Sharon Lokedi breaks KU's 10K record

Another day, another record for Kansas junior distance runner Sharon Lokedi.

Competing in the Stanford Invitational on Friday, Lokedi broke her own school record in the 10,000-meter run in 32:21.19. She placed fifth Friday, 25 seconds faster than her third-place time at the NCAA Championships last season.

Lokedi, from Eldoret, Kenya, owns the seven fastest times ever ran in the 10K in program history. She also holds records in the outdoor 5,000 meters, indoor 5,000 meters, indoor 3,000 meters and women's distance medley relay.
