KU baseball dropped against Texas

Playing in its Big 12 opener, the Kansas baseball team couldn't slow down Texas in a 14-4 road loss Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Kansas starter Tyler Davis allowed 10 hits and eight runs (five earned) in 3 1/3 innings. Texas (10-9, 1-0 Big 12) accumulated 16 hits and 10 walks.

The Jayhawks (12-5, 0-1) will continue their series against Texas at 1 p.m. Saturday.
