Chris Thompson ties for 16th for second consecutive week

Chris Thompson birdied eight holes, including the first four of the back nine, en route to a 65 that enabled him to finish tied for 16th in the Lincoln Land Championship at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill.

Thompson finished 18-under, seven strokes behind winner Anders Albertson, and moved up four spots on the Web.com Tour money list to 49th with $70,596.

For the second consecutive week, Thompson, 41, was tied for 16th after the first and fourth rounds.

On the PGA tour, Gary Woodland shot 1-under par 69 to finish at even in 53rd place, 21 strokes behind winner Francesco Molinari. Woodland ranks 36th on the PGA tour money list with $2,081,964 in earnings.
