Jayhawks fall short vs. Cincinnati, 7-6

The Kansas baseball team came up short in a 7-6 loss to Cincinnati in 13 innings on Saturday at Marge Schott Stadium.

Jaxx Groshans homered for the Jayhawks, who fell to 19-23 on the season.

The Jayhawks grabbed a one-run lead after scoring twice in the top of the eighth, but the Bearcats capitalized on misplayed fly ball in the bottom half to tie it back up.

Kansas will try to avoid the sweep to the Bearcats at noon today.
