KU golfers miss NCAA tourney

Shoal Creek, Ala. — Kansas University golfers Pornvipa Sakdee and Yupaporn Kawinpakorn placed 15th and 43rd, respectively, at the NCAA regional Saturday at Shoal Creek but missed qualifying for the NCAA women’s golf tournament.

Sadkee had a three-round total of 12-over 228, and Kawinpakorn shot 17-over 233.

Sakdee finished eight strokes behind co-champions Matilda Castren of Florida State, Marianne Li of California and Janet Mao of Northwestern and three strokes behind the final individual qualifier.
